Snowy Mountains Forever Classic XLFM
Radio XLFM has been an integral part of the Snowy Mountains landscape since launching in August 1937 as the region’s oldest commercial radio station. Forever Classic XLFM plays the best classic hits from the 70’s, 80’s and 90’s. The station also features competitions, entertainment, local news and weather along with community service announcements, local events sponsorship and emergency news.
Radio XLFM originally started broadcasting from Cooma as 2XL on 918 AM, before converting to 96.1 FM on the radio dial in 2019. XLFM broadcasts on additional frequencies covering the towns of Jindabyne, Thredbo, Charlotte Pass, Perisher, and Bombala.
Code of Practice
XLFM complies with the Commercial Radio Code of Practice. This code covers, amongst other things, advertising, announcements, Australian music content, news and current affairs.
